Why should I use a virtual assistant to get quotes on my insurance premium?

It’s simple – your time is precious. We already outsource grocery shopping, cooking, driving – most of the day-to-day aspects of life to give you back time to spend with your family, friends and enjoying your hobbies.

YIVA was borne out of frustration in not being able to source insurance quotations easily from multiple insurers.

We are a team of virtual assistants that offer a range of administrative services to our clients, many of whom have several investment properties and high-value cars. Insurance is a large but necessary expense, and our team of Virtual Assistants were often asked to research and find additional quotes for our clients, who want to ensure they’re getting the best value for their money. The main challenge that we came across time and time again, was that, whilst every insurer all asked ultimately the same questions, there was slightly different wording, nuance, and interpretation between each one. It was creating a roadblock, ultimately slowing down the process and therefore making no difference at all in the time that was being saved – it had just transferred from the client to our virtual assistants.

How Does It Work?

To save time for our clients and money, we have mapped out all the insurers different questions and we have condensed it into one easy-to-use form that allows our clients to fill in one form and get 15-20+ quotations.

We know there are some other big comparison sites out there, but they only provide pricing for a handful of insurers, and they make a commission on the policy that the consumer chooses to purchase. Not only was it difficult to get all the quotes we need, being phoned 30 seconds after going to the website is just downright annoying!

Are you an insurance company?

We provide the most user-friendly service for you to develop your software with the best user-experience design. You can come up with an idea, design plan or we are open for discussion to help you to develop your desired software efficiently.

Can you manage my insurance for me?

No, we can’t manage your insurance – you will need to contact an Insurance Broker for that service. All we can do is provide a list of quotes for your insurance policies.

Do you get paid a commission or referral fee if I choose to select an insurer based on your available prices?

No. As an administration service, we only organise the pricing for you and provide you with a summary of the pricing. We have no agreement or connection to the insurance companies we provide quotes from. This means that you are seeing an accurate representation of all insurance companies.

Can you give me the quote numbers so I can call the insurer and start the policy?

No. We are not an insurance broker or advisor. We do not have a license to trade in insurance. We are an only administration company. When you enter into a contract with an insurer the information that you advise the insurer forms the basis of the insurance contract and if it is incorrect, it may impact your claim. When you get your insurance policy you enter the information in or call the insurer. This way the contract is between you and the insurance company. We are just taking the hard and monotonous work out of comparing insurance premiums.

Why was the YIVA price different to what I was quoted when I check their websites?

Different insurers ask different questions. Sometimes they are similar and sometimes they are very different – we have created a question set that allows our team to quote all the insurers, so you aren’t answering all variations of 25 different question that each insurer has. To go through and ask all the questions in the slightly different variations would result in 100+ questions – imagine how much time that would take?!

Will you contact me within 2 minutes of accessing your website?

No, we won’t contact you at all unless you opt to purchase access to the form, in which case someone from our team will provide the quotations for you. When you purchase this digital download, you’re given the option to be contacted in a year when the renewal is due, or you can choose not to be contacted at all

What if I don’t know the answers to some of the questions on the form?

We may not be able to find quotations for you from ever insurer, as most of the information is key to finalise the quotation. Questions such as “what is the age of the building?” are able to be answered with estimates. A number of insurers also use data from databases that have this information.

Why didn’t I get a quote from a particular insurer?

We can only share with you the reason for declining to quote that the insurer’s online systems gave us. If you have a particular insurer you prefer, you can call them directly and see if they will quote. Often, some insurance company’s online quoting systems have limited capacity for a property that could be considered unique

Can you do other administrative work for me?

If you have queries regarding work outside of quotations for your insurance, please contact us using the form, and we will have one of our representatives contact you.

Why do you only provide quotes for home and contents, car and landlord insurance?

At this stage, if we were providing quotes for insurance products such as health insurance, the number of questions that you would have to answer would be so time-consuming that it wouldn’t make any sense – for you as the client or our company.
